Matthew Gontram
Matt started rafting and kayaking in Colorado at the age
of eighteen. Since that first summer on the rivers of the southwest, Matt has
pursued his passion for running rivers around the globe. He has worked as a
guide and led expeditions in Nepal, Zambia, Uganda, Chile and all over the U.S.
When not working on the river, you can find Matt seeking out some of the best
class V kayaking in the world. "Guiding river trips is simply my favorite thing
in this world to do. Watching a group of strangers come together as a team to
make a river descent successful can be amazing." He lives in Leadville, CO with
his dog Nugget.
